One thing I know for certain is this. Far fewer than 1% of the people in America today have actually read the Do Not Call legislation for themselves. They have no idea what it says and they have no idea who it applies to. They just assume that because the’s a “Do Not Call List” that mean that nobody is allowed to call them for anything. Ever.

Now that I’m calling Prime Groups, I discovered that there really CAN be too much of a good thing.
What I’m talking about is Mojo’s Triple-Line dialing capability. When you get into a nice groove when calling, the dialer creates a rhythm that allows you to talk with more people more quickly. While you’re talking with one person while using a super-short script, the dialer is calling two other people. As soon as you hang up with someone that tells you they’re “not interested” it seems like Mojo patches you right through to the next person.

One of the most frustrating things about running your own business is trying new things, having them fail, and then either having to tweak the some detail so it gets up and running or else scrap the idea altogether and head back to the drawing board. This terrible cycle is probably most often seen in trying to get your site to rank in the search engines (nightmare) so you can get “free” organic traffic which you can try to convert to leads, but it is also found in pretty much every other type of new attempt at getting new business.
Now that I have the ability to call Prime Lists, I’ve actually been a bit suspicious about how effective it would be at generating leads. The negative voices in my head have been saying,

Today I reached a milestone in my phone prospecting journey. Months back I decided which areas I wanted to call. Originally those areas included Plymouth, Canton, Northville, and Novi. Shortly after that I added in Livonia and a few other areas. After trying to follow up with leads far and wide I decided to narrow the search down to the original four cities.
Novi, being the furthest from where I live, was called last and today I called through the final list in that city.
Considering the amount of time I did NOT call in December and January, it looks like it took about 6 months to call through the entire zone. That means I did the right thing by tossing out the extra areas that were slowing me down.
